Wanstead Veterinary Hospital provides a 24 hour emergency service for our own branch veterinary surgeries as well as other neighbouring practices. Our Hospital is staffed 24 hours a day with a fully qualified team of vets and nurses should your pet need us in the event of an emergency. Wanstead Veterinary Hospital provides a full clinical service including the most up to date diagnostic services including a CT scanner, two digital x-ray suites and an advanced ultra-sonography scanner. There is ample free parking and a warm welcome for all our clients. Wanstead Veterinary hospital also welcomes referrals from other practices wishing to take advantage of our specialist diagnostic imaging services.

The fully air-conditioned hospital reception is divided into separate cat and dog areas to ensure your pets remain calm and comfortable whilst waiting for their consultation. We also provide complimentary coffee and tea and video information screens. The reception area has a range of pet accessories and high quality complete pet foods and our front of house reception and nursing staff will be happy to advise you on your pet’s nutritional and health needs.

There are seven full time vets during consultation and day-surgery hours supported by a team of experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses providing professional and compassionate care for your pet. All patients are monitored and cared for around the clock. Wanstead Veterinary Hospital is inspected and accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons which means you can rest assured that our clinical standards meet their stringent requirements. Our hospital has excellent facilities including four consultation rooms, three operating theatres and separate dog and cat hospitalisation wards. We offer a wide range of surgical services including advanced orthopaedic surgery, laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, a dental suite with digital dental radiography and a state of the art CT scanner, one of the first in London.

Wanstead Veterinary Hospital is equipped with the latest medical and surgical facilities ensuring we can deal with a wide variety of emergency cases, surgical procedures, diagnostic investigations and medical cases without having to refer patients to other centers. These facilities include ultrasound, endoscopy and radiography facilities, dedicated critical care equipment including incubators and oxygenated kennels, dentistry and anaesthetic monitoring machines

Isolation wards are available for the more unwell patients and where strict barrier nursing techniques are observed. We pride ourselves on our intensive care facilities that enable our staff to deliver the best quality of care using intensive care equipment that includes, state of the art infusion pumps, dedicated oxygen therapy kennels and heating incubators.
